Postpartum care is deeply personal, and I am so grateful to walk beside you during this precious period after birth. My role is to meet you exactly where you are—emotionally, physically, culturally, and spiritually—offering steady, compassionate support during the early weeks & months after birth or adoption🌱
In-home Daytime Postpartum Doula Support centered around:
-
The “fourth trimester” (the first 12 weeks after birth) is a time of immense change. I offer an unrushed, judgment-free space for you to share, reflect, and process your experience.
Gentle reassurance and encouragement as you adjust to life with a new baby
Unhurried time to process pregnancy, birth, adoption, identity shifts, and emotions
Active listening and support for questions around sleep (yours and baby’s), feeding, infant development, hormones, healing, diapering, baby wearing, and more—nothing is off limits
Regular emotional health check-ins and support for perinatal mood disorders
Advocacy, resources, and referrals for mental health support when needed
Support navigating relationship changes and family dynamics during the transition to parenthood
Referrals to trusted local providers and community resources
Advocacy and accompaniment to medical appointments if desired—always on your terms
-
Feeding and caring for a newborn can bring both joy and questions. I support all feeding journeys with respect and affirmation.
Support and referrals for chest/body/breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, formula feeding, or any combination
Deep commitment to honoring and centering Transgender, Non-Binary, and Queer individuals in their beautiful lactation and feeding journeys
Safe, loving infant care so you can rest, sleep, recover, connect with older children & loved ones, or take time for yourself. This can then help you feel more grounded in the feeding & care of your newborn.
-
Rest is not a luxury—it’s essential. Support is always guided by what feels nourishing to you that day and may include:
Gentle comfort care, such as a foot massage, warm tea, or nourishing snacks or meals
Infant care while you sleep, bathe, walk, or simply rest
Mini Reiki sessions (if desired)
Support for recovery after vaginal or surgical/cesarean births
Encouragement to honor your body’s healing process at your own pace
-
Creating ease in your home helps create ease in your body and mind. I can help with many things around the home including:
Dishes, laundry, and tidying shared spaces
Washing bottles and pump parts
Preparing simple, nourishing meals
Ensuring you are hydrated and well-fed
Light household tasks that help you feel more at peace in your space
-
With over 25 years of diverse nursing experience, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for families with unique needs.
Deep support for parents of multiples, premature infants, and babies with special needs or medical fragility who may need care in the NICU.
Advocacy and support with care coordination, medical visits, daily planning, and siblings. This could look like anything from accompanying you to appointments & caring for your child so you may focus on the visit, to helping your family navigate the medical system, to sitting alongside you as you find the care & support that feels safe & appropriate for you & your baby (s).
If you have a medically fragile baby, they may require extra care at home, and in turn, so will you as their parent (s). Although I do not provide medical care, I am here to support you in finding ways to balance caring for yourself while caring for your infant.
A family-led approach— ongoing curiosity, learning, and collaboration to find what works best for your family.
-
Your healing journey belongs to you.
I honor and center your cultural, spiritual, and traditional practices, showing up with curiosity, respect, and care. Whether you need quiet space, ritual support, or care for your infant or family while you tend to your own healing, I am here to support what feels meaningful to you.
-
Welcoming a new baby is a big transition for the whole family.
Loving support for older siblings as they adjust to having a new baby at home
Calm, playful care—often on the floor, laughing and connecting
Time for you to bond with your newborn while I care for older children
Loving safe infant care so you can spend bonding time with your older child/children
A steady, patient presence with humor, warmth, and “Auntie Laura” energy
